SUMMARY:Adult Electives - The Legacy of Dr. Frank Boston
DESCRIPTION:The Legacy of Dr. Frank Boston (Sept 27\, in the parlor) Learn about the man who established the Volunteer Medical Service Corps (VMSC)\, one of the earliest ambulance corps in the country\, helping lay the groundwork for modern emergency medical service. He also founded a hospital in Lansdale so members of the community could receive care at a time when access was limited — a hospital that would later become part of what is now Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.
