Adult Electives – Community Conversations Session 1 – Info & Intro

Community Conversations: Cultural Competency, Radical Inclusion & Anti-Racism Beginning September 13 at 10:30am, this facilitated series explores Cultural Competency, Radical Inclusion, and Anti-Racism through guided discussion, reflection, and shared learning. Together we’ll journey through three transformative books:

• The Racial Healing Handbook: Practical Activities to Help You Challenge Privilege, Confront Systemic Racism, and Engage in Collective Healing by Anneliese A. Singh, PhD — available here
• Autopsy of a Deceased Church: 12 Ways to Keep Yours Alive by Thom S. Rainer — available here

This series is an invitation to grow together in courage, compassion, and truth-telling — as individuals and as a community of faith. Whether you’re new to these conversations or have been doing this work for years, there’s a seat for you at the table. The first session on September 13 will be an information session that includes an introductory lesson.
